TEFL Madrid

Madrid is divided between the old and the new. The old part of town has the most beautiful architecture and offers the best tapas experience!

You can start your tour through the old Madrid at the gardens of the beautiful Royal Palace, or Palacio Real, and get lost in the old town until you reach Plaza Mayor. Coffee or Beer is usually more expensive at Plaza Mayor, but you can have a nice tapa with a beer at one of those classic bars with hams hanging off the roof for just 2 euro. Then walk through Puerta del Sol and make your way to the glorious Cibeles.
If you are an art lover you can stop at many European and American galleries. Museo Nacional del Prado is one of the world’s most popular museums and hosts some of the most beautiful Picasso paintings.
If you are a football fan, then visiting the stadium of Santiago Bernabeu is a must for you. Real Madrid is one the world’s finest football clubs and important matches are held here, including Champion League rounds and the classic match against Barcelona.

TESOL certification and some teaching experience are very important to qualify for the best jobs. A EU passport is a must. Wages are not the best, just like everywhere else in Europe, so it’s highly recommended to start your own small business and offer some private classes for 20 euro an hour. Children and executives are the best market for private lessons.
